I’m delighted to have been awarded funding by Creative Scotland to explore wellbeing economics through interviews with activists and organisations who are already practising various aspects of ‘degrowth’. The interviews will be used as the basis for new music, which will be performed at the Howlin’ Fling festival on Eigg at the University of Edinburgh in summer 2023, and will be released on Lost Map records. The project’s foundations are two books: Less Is More (Hickel, 2020) and Farewell to Growth (Latouche, 2009).
